Andreas Bühl (born February 6, 1987 in Ilmenau ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Thuringian state parliament .

Life and work

Andreas Bühl grew up in Thuringia and went to the grammar school Am Lindenberg in Ilmenau .

From 2006 to 2009 he studied administrative sciences at the Thuringian University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Gotha . He graduated with a degree in administrative management (FH) . Since 2011 he has been taking a distance learning course at the University of Kassel in public administration for the Master of Public Administration .

From 2009 to 2013 Bühl worked at the then Thuringian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution in the field of "extremism prevention".

His older brother Marcus Bühl is active in the AfD and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .

Political career

In 2009, Bühl was elected to the city ​​council of Ilmenau. There he is active as deputy parliamentary group leader for the CDU. He is a member of the city's building and procurement committee.

Since the state elections in 2014 , Bühl has sat for the CDU in the Thuringian state parliament in Erfurt . He reached with a score of 36.6% of the vote - the youngest directly elected representative - a direct mandate constituency Ilm-Kreis I .

Bühl is also a member of the state board of the Junge Union Thuringia and a co-opted member of the district board of the JU in the Ilm district . From 2007 to 2009 he was the deputy state chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) .

In December 2015, the member of the state parliament was also elected chairman of the CDU city association of Ilmenau. In addition to his political voluntary work, Bühl is active as chairman of the German-American Friends of Ilmenau eV. He is also chairman of the Wanderjugend Thüringen eV and the Association for Sport and Experience-Oriented Integrative Social Work Ilmenau eV

In October 2018 he ran for the office of Lord Mayor in Ilmenau and lost 40.9% to Daniel Schultheiss .

In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he again won the direct mandate in his constituency with 33.3% of the votes. After the election he was elected one of three deputy chairmen of the CDU parliamentary group. On March 2, 2020, Bühl received the office of Parliamentary Managing Director in the early election of the new parliamentary group executive.
