Andreas Babendererde (born July 22, 1962 ) is a former German soccer player .

Athletic career

Babendererde played for BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock as a child . In 1971 he went to Hansa Rostock and in 1982 he made the leap into the upper division of the North German team .

In the 1989/90 season Babendererde came with FC Hansa on two appearances in the UEFA Cup . He was on the field in the first two games against Baník Ostrava , which the GDR representative lost 2: 3 at home and 0: 4 away.

In the 1990/91 season , the last season of GDR football, Babendererde won the championship title and the FDGB Cup with Rostock . He was used in all 26 games and scored four goals. His goal on March 9th in Rostock's 3-2 away win over BSV Stahl Brandenburg also marked the 24,000 goal in the history of the Oberliga .

With the championship title, Hansa Rostock had qualified for all-German professional football and started in the first Bundesliga in the following season 1991/92 . There, Babendererde received only one use when he was substituted on in the 63rd minute in the 63rd minute of FC Hansa's 2-1 win over FC Bayern Munich .

During the winter break, Babendererde left the Rostock football club after 22 years and moved to Halleschen FC in the 2nd Bundesliga . On the 23rd matchday he made his second division debut in the away game at SV Darmstadt 98 and scored the first and only goal for his new employer in the 1: 2 defeat. In total, Babendererde had eight missions by the end of the season and was relegated with Halle as penultimate in the 2nd Bundesliga. Even before the beginning of the subsequent amateur league season, Babendererde left Halle for 1. SC Norderstedt , where he played until the end of his career in 1994.
