Andreas Bachmann (politician)

Andreas Bachmann (born March 31, 1962 in Osnabrück ) is a Hamburg politician on the Green Alternative List (GAL) , later Rainbow - For a New Left .

Life and politics

Bachmann grew up in Cologne and Aachen . After graduating from high school , he did his community service and later worked as an insurance employee.

Bachmann was only a member of the SPD from 1979 to 1985 . In 1986 he came to Hamburg and became a member of the Green Alternative List (GAL). Within the party, he took over from 1987 to 1991 the activity of the GAL regional association and the parliamentary group for the areas of trade union and transport policy . From 1991 to 1993 he was a member of the regional board of the German Transport Club . He was also on the municipal level in the environment and transport committee of the Eimsbüttel district assembly .

From 1993 to 1997 he was a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . There he was for his group in the Economic Committee and Social Committee.

In 1999 Bachmann - he had previously belonged to the GAL-internal, left-wing movement Zwischen alle Stühlen (ZAS) - in protest against the Greens' approval of the war participation in the former Yugoslavia for the electoral association Rainbow - For a New Left. This association then dissolved itself in December 2007.

Furthermore, Andreas Bachmann is a member of the editorial team of the newspaper express - newspaper for socialist company and trade union work . He also works on the Committee on Fundamental Rights and Democracy .

Andreas Bachmann is married to the politician Susanne Uhl and has one son.
