Andreas Berg (handball player)

Andreas Berg (born May 9, 1992 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player who is mostly used on the left wing .

The 1.91 m tall and 87 kg heavy right-handed player began playing handball in his hometown at Kärra HF . From 2011 he played for Önnereds HK in Gothenburg and rose to the Elitserien in 2013 . For the 2015/16 season he moved to the German Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen . With Göppingen he won the EHF Cup in 2016 and 2017 . In the summer of 2017 he joined the Swedish first division club Alingsås HK .

At the U-18 European Championship in 2010 he scored 29 goals and finished 7th, at the U-19 World Championship in 2011 he won bronze (18 goals) and at the U-21 World Championship in 2013 the junior world championship. There he was chosen as the fourth best goalscorer with 51 goals in the All-Star team.

Berg made his debut for the Swedish national team on November 1, 2013 against Germany . So far, he has played 7 international matches in which he scored 17 goals. (As of July 24, 2017)
