Andreas Beutler (born January 26, 1963 ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and current coach who has played for SC Bern in the National League A during his active career and has won the Swiss championship three times with the Berners .

Career

The defender Andreas Beutler played for SC Bern in the National League A from 1981 . Beutler, who quickly established himself as a regular player, was relegated to National League B with the Berners in his debut season . He spent the 1984/85 season at EHC Basel in the National League B. He then returned to SC Bern, with whom he was promoted back to National League A in 1986 at the green table. With the Stadtberner Club he won his first Swiss championship under head coach Bill Gilligan in the 1988/89 season . This was followed by title wins in 1991 and 1992 . Beutler ended his professional career from 1995 to 1998 at SC Langnau in the NLB.

After his career as an active player, Beutler was initially the assistant coach of the Swiss U20 national team , later he was also behind the gang at EHC Burgdorf , EHC Zuchwil Regio and SC Lyss . He has been the head coach of EHC Brandis since the 2014/15 season .

International

For Switzerland , Beutler took part in the B World Cup in 1989 and the World Cup in 1991 . He also took part in the 1992 Winter Olympics for the Eisgenossen , where he played seven games and made one assist. Switzerland finished the tournament in tenth place.
