Andreas Blaschczok

Andreas Blaschczok (born October 28, 1952 in Hamburg ; † August 11, 2000 in Moniga del Garda / Italy ) was a German lawyer and professor at the University of Leipzig .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1970, Blaschczok first completed an apprenticeship in a bank . He then studied mathematics for a few semesters before taking up law studies in Hamburg . After the first and second state examination Blaschczok in 1983 with a seehandelsrechtlichen work on functional substitution in liability law for Dr. iur. PhD. He then became a research assistant to Jan Wilhelm at the University of Passau . There he completed his habilitation with an investigation into strict liability and risk allocation .

After substituting professorships at Bielefeld University and Hamburg University , Blaschczok accepted a position at Leipzig University in 1992 . In April 1993 he was a founding professor at the re-established Leipzig Faculty of Law. As holder of the chair for civil law, commercial, corporate and business law, he mainly devoted himself to the economic analysis of law , transport and freight law, and insurance law.

In 1997 Blaschczok was elected Vice Rector for University Development.

Blaschczok died of a heart attack on August 11, 2000 while on vacation in Italy .
