Andreas Bogdain is self-taught . Before the political change, he came into conflict with the GDR regime several times because of critical images . One of Bogdain's works of art showed GDR symbolism in connection with barbed wire. A suspended sentence and travel ban were the result.

Art style

The black lines in the picture, which give the impression of a lead glass mosaic , are typical . Almost all of his pictures are drawn or painted in this style. The word "ART" accompanies him and his work. He grew up in the Anhalt city of ARTern, the non-partisan former wARTburg driver, still without a hair part, likes parties and roast potatoes in quarter number 7 in Eberswalde.
