Andreas Christian Bernstein
Andreas Christian Bernstein (born July 12, 1672 in Domnitz north of Halle (Saale) , † October 18, 1699 ibid) was a German hymn poet .
Life
Andreas Christian Bernstein, born on July 12, 1672 in Domnitz near Halle (Saale) , was the son of a pastor . He studied at the University of Halle , and from 1695 he also worked as a teacher at the pedagogy . Four years later he began serving as an auxiliary preacher to his sick father. Six of Bernstein's songs were published by Johann Anastasius Freylinghausen . Bernstein died on October 18, 1699 after an illness at the age of only 27 in Domnitz.
