Andreas Graeber

Andreas Graeber (born October 16, 1952 in Munich ) is a German ancient historian .

Andreas Graeber studied ancient history , modern history, classical archeology , prehistory and early history as well as (legal) philosophy in Munich and Tübingen . In Tübingen he became a member of the Scotland team . In 1983 he did his doctorate in Munich with Siegfried Lauffer on the subject of " Investigations into the late Roman corporation ". Graeber then worked until 1987 as a research associate with Roland Wittmann at the Leopold Wenger Institute for Legal History in Munich . He was also employed as a research assistant at the German Archaeological Institute in Rome from 1984 to 1987 . Later he followed Wittmann at the European University Viadrina of Frankfurt (Oder) , where he was 1996/97 at the Cultural Studies with a thesis on " auctoritas patrum " habilitated . From 1997 to 2001 he worked as a private lecturer and since 2001 as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Cultural Studies in Frankfurt (Oder).
