Andreas Haratsch

Andreas Haratsch (born February 10, 1963 in Mainz ) is a German constitutional lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in Mainz in 1982, he studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 1982 to 1988 . He completed his studies with the first state examination. This was followed by the legal preparatory service from 1989 to 1992 , with a stay at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . After passing the second state examination , Haratsch worked as a research assistant at his alma mater , where he received his doctorate in law in 1997 with a thesis in the field of constitutional law . During this time he was also a guest lecturer at the German University of Administrative Sciences. After working as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam , he qualified as a professor in 2003 in the subjects of public law , international law and European law . This was followed by an activity as a scientific consultant at the Center for European Integration Research at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . After Visiting Professor at the University of Konstanz and the University of Hagen , he received in 2007 a reputation Hagen University as a professor of German and European constitutional and administrative law and international law.

Between 2008 and 2010, Haratsch was visiting professor at Dōshisha University in Kyoto and from 2010 to 2012 dean of the law faculty at the FernUniversität Hagen. He has been director of the Dimitris Tsatsos Institute for European Constitutional Studies at the FernUniversität Hagen since 2017 .
