Andreas In der Au, on the AIDA stage (born November 10, 1983 in Erfurt ), is a German author, presenter and slam poet .

Life

Since 2011, In der Au has been performing his poetry and prose under the acronym AIDA at poetry slams throughout German-speaking countries. The main focus of his appearances is the lively performance. The FAZ wrote about him: "He dances and sings, he mobs, he sometimes screams, he is bursting with energy". With around 200 appearances a year, he is considered one of the most active German slam poets. In 2011 he achieved the runner-up title in the individual competition at the Baden-Württemberg slam state championships in Stuttgart . In the years 2011 to 2016 he was able to qualify for the German-speaking slam championships . In 2012 he became the Thuringian national slam champion in Jena . In 2014 ( Erfurt ), 2016 ( Weimar ) and 2018 ( Nordhausen ) he was the organizer of the same championships. The organizer was in each case the association " Highslammer eV " he founded, which has since been responsible for various literary and cultural events in Thuringia. In der Au is a regular moderator of these events. for example in Mönchgrün , Apolda , Ilmenau , Erfurt, Suhl , Gotha and Arnstadt . He is considered " the face of the Thuringian Poetry Slam". In 2019, for example, he is the host and organizer of the multi - day German - speaking U20 slam championships in Erfurt. He also works as a workshop leader for courses on the subjects of poetry slam and creative writing .

In addition to various victories at poetry slams, In der Au won various other awards for his art. In 2012 he was awarded the special prize of the federal initiative "Promote Tolerance - Strengthen Competence", in 2013 he received the "Frizz Stage Award" at the Schlossgrabenfest in Darmstadt . For his work with young literary talents, he was awarded the Friedrich Bödecker Circle Honor Prize in 2018 for promoting young literary talents in Thuringia.
