Andreas Kinderling
Andreas Kinderling (born April 20, 1593 in Evessen , † March 20, 1664 in Helmstedt ) was a German logician and physicist.
Life
The son of the sworn wood and chief Vorsprechers on regional courts Heinrich children Ling and his wife Christiana, daughter of the bailiff in Heckerrode behind Elm Lucas Homann had, in 1600, the school in Wolfenbuettel visited. In 1609 he continued his education in Salzwedel and had attended other schools. Then he took up studies at the University of Helmstedt . In 1611 he traveled via Frankfurt am Main to the University of Cologne , where he continued his studies.
After returning to Helmstedt, he became a master of philosophy in 1618 and stayed in Frankfurt / M from 1619. where he - supported by Matthias van Overbeck († 1637) - continued his studies. With this he traveled to Holland, where he met Gilbert Jacheus (1578-1628) and Kaspar van Baerle (1584-1648) at the University of Leiden in 1620. In 1638 he took over the philosophy faculty professorship in logic at the University of Helmstedt, which he swapped for the professorship in physics in 1650 , which he held until the end of his life.

From his marriage on September 13, 1640 with Maria (born September 18, 1618 in Helmstedt; † September 27, 1679 ibid), the daughter of the Helmstedt mayor Heinrich Hosang (born February 21, 1590 in Helmstedt; † June 30, 1650 ibid ) and his wife Elisabeth Ehlers (* 1587 in Helmstedt / Neuer Markt (Neumarkt); † November 29, 1661 in Helmstedt) had six sons and four daughters, two of whom died young. Known by the children is:

- Daughter Anna Maria Kinderling (born January 20, 1644 in Helmstedt; † March 2, 1725 in Magdeburg) married. with the preacher at the St. Jacob Church in Magdeburg Christoph Koch (born May 3, 1633 in Meitzendorf; born August 4, 1719 in Magdeburg)
- Johann Andreas Kinderling studied law, became a lawyer in Magdeburg, councilor and mayor there from 1706–1737
