Andreas Knippling

Andreas Knippling (born December 21, 1966 in Hennef-Bröl ) is a German show jumper and horse breeder. He is the holder of the golden riding badge.

Andreas Knippling grew up on a horse farm and therefore started riding at an early age. After training as an insurance salesman, he became a professional jumping rider. He had two years of riding training with Paul Schockemöhle . At 21 he won his first Grand Prix in the Philipshalle in Düsseldorf . He then won the grand finals of the Aachen indoor tournament twice . In 2000 he won the Monaco Masters . In 2004 and 2005 he won the Redefin Grand Prix (CSI 3 *, 2004 with Pleasure , 2005 with Papparazzi ), in 2007 he was third in the Hanover Grand Prix (CSI 4 *, with Neolisto van het Mierenhof ).

In 2009 he and Neolisto van het Mierenhof took sixth place in the Grand Prix of Aachen (CSIO 5 *), the most important jumping competition in Germany. In the same year Knippling was a member of the German team in the evaluation test of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup in Hickstead , which won here.

Knippling has two sons together with his former wife, the show jumper Luciana Diniz . He runs a tournament and training stable in Hennef- Bröl, previously he worked in Zülpich - Merzenich .

In 2011 Knippling was a member of the German B2 squad of show jumpers.

Horses

Knipplings most successful horse for several years was Neolisto van het Mierenhof , a dark brown gelding of the Belgian Sport Horse (sBs) breed, born in 1997 . The father is Landwind, the dam's father is Feinschnitt I. The gelding was sold to Canada in 2012.
