Andreas Lach
Andreas Lach (* 1817 in Eisgrub , Moravia ; † April 15, 1882 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter of flowers, still life and porcelain .
life and work
The flower and still life painter Andreas Lach was born in 1817 in Eisgrub, Moravia. From 1837 to 1839 he was a student at the Vienna Academy under Thomas Ender (1793–1875), Joseph Mössmer (1780–1845) and Sebastian Wegmayr (1776–1857). His nephew was the Viennese landscape painter and etcher Fritz Lach (1868–1933). He painted numerous flower and still life motifs that are now in museums or as coveted collector's items in private ownership. He was a member of the Austrian Art Association . Andreas Lach died on April 15, 1882 in Vienna.
