Andreas Müller-Cyran

Andreas Müller-Cyran (born October 4, 1962 in Bremen ) is a Catholic deacon and paramedic . He is the founder and technical head of the first nationwide crisis intervention team (KIT) in Munich and head of emergency pastoral care in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .

biography

Müller-Cyran lived in his childhood on the Baltic and North Sea. He completed his Abitur at a college in St. Blasien . He studied ( Magister Artium ) at the University of Philosophy in Munich (SJ) and did his doctorate in psychology with Willi Butollo at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

As a pioneer of peritraumatic acute intervention , he made a decisive contribution to the establishment and quality assurance of psychosocial emergency care in Germany.

Awards

• The State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Ole Schröder, honored Müller-Cyran on August 18, 2012 in Berlin for his commitment to the Aftercare, Victims and Relatives Aid Coordination Office of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief and his commitment to providing psychosocial support to German victims of accidents and accidents their relatives in Germany. Müller-Cyran received the award on behalf of more than 50 other emergency chaplains who have supported NOAH as external experts for years.

• On October 4, 2013, he received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany from Federal President Joachim Gauck .
