Andreas Marschall (piano maker)

Andreas Marschall (born November 15, 1783 in Tyrnau , Hungary , † February 9, 1842 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) was a piano maker .

One station in his career was Kassel , where Marschall worked for NN Beckmann and Peter Christian Uldahl . After living in Copenhagen for three years, he went into business for himself in 1813. Marschall built around 115 instruments a year. A number of piano makers known by name have emerged from his workshop, such as Emanuel Schöne ( Oslo and London ) and Christopher Thomle (Oslo). After Marshal's death, the workshop was continued by Sören Hjort .
