Andreas Reichle

Andreas Reichle (born July 15, 1861 in Pfrungen , Oberamt Saulgau ; † December 11, 1921 in Ravensburg ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician. He was Lord Mayor of Ravensburg from 1904 to 1921 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1881, Andreas Reichle studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen from 1881 to 1885 . He was a member of the Catholic student union AV Guestfalia Tübingen in the CV .

In 1887, he was State assistant and deputy bailiff in Ravensburg. In 1890 he moved to Leutkirch im Allgäu as a clerk and was also the district attorney at the Royal District Court in Leutkirch. From 1891 to 1900 he was a poor fund administrator (foundation administrator) in Ravensburg. In part-time he was chairman of the Ravensburg industrial court. Outside of the community service position, he was involved as a secretary and board member of the local health insurance fund Ravensburg. From 1914 to 1921 he represented the state of Württemberg on the board of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings .

In 1904 he was elected successor to Martin Springer (Stadtschultheiß 1886–1904) as "Lord Mayor" of Ravensburg. According to an election speech on November 13, 1904, he was non-party. From 1905 he held the title of Stadtschultheiß , after the new municipal code of 1906 came into force, the title of Lord Mayor. After his unexpected death on December 11, 1921, the administrative lawyer Hans Mantz was elected to succeed him. Reichle is buried in the main cemetery in Ravensburg.

In 1912 Reichle was able to persuade the textile and cement entrepreneur Julius Spohn to establish a foundation with which the Spohn grammar school was established.

Andreas Reichle was married; the marriage had four children.
