Andreas Carl Studer (born May 20, 1966 in Interlaken ) is a Swiss television chef and author . He became publicly known, among other things, through his appearances in the TV shows Kochduell at VOX , Lanz kocht! on ZDF , al dente of Swiss television , as well as on Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal - special as a cooking juror at Kabel eins .

Life

Studer was born and trained as a chef in the Bernese Oberland . After completing his military service and graduating from the hotel management school in Thun , he worked in various hotels in Zurich. He gained international experience in Mexico and the USA. On September 1, 1997, he made his first appearance on German television in a cooking duel . Until the end of the program in September 2005, Studer was part of the regular cast of the show.

For Swiss television, Studer was in front of the camera every two weeks from October 2001 to December 2010 in the cooking and quiz show al dente . With ratings of up to 40%, the show was considered the most successful prime-time European cooking show . In Johannes B. Kerner's cooking show Kerner kocht or in the follow-up show Lanz kocht! Studer was a regular guest with Markus Lanz . Also for ZDF he stood together with Susanne Fröhlich front of the camera and in the Sat.1 - breakfast television he presented 180 programs. Studer is a regular guest on the ZDF television garden and appeared in the same station on several episodes of the spring and autumn show. At Deutsche Bahn, he cooked Swiss specialties in the ICE on-board restaurant for the TV cooks for Africa campaign . Studer has been creating changing menus for the dining cars for the Swiss Federal Railways SBB since February 2011. Studer contributed gourmet recipes for Burkhard Driest's new novel. In April 2012 the illustrated book “Meine Schweizer Kühe” was published with photographs by Studer. In the book he presents cows from his Swiss homeland. A recipe booklet with recipes using dairy products is included with the illustrated book.
