Andres Türler

Andres Türler (born December 13, 1957 in Québec , Canada ; resident in Zurich ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). He was a member of Zurich's nine-person executive, the city ​​council .

Life

Andres Türler studied law at the University of Zurich from 1978 to 1984 and graduated with a licentiate . From 1985 to 1991 he worked in a law firm and at a court, from 1991 to 2002 Türler worked as a public prosecutor in Uster and Zurich.

Türler is married, has two sons and lives in Höngg . He is a member of the Guild for Weggen .

Political career

From April 1994 to February 1998 and from June 1999 to May 2002 Türler sat in the city council (parliament) of the city of Zurich. During this time he was President of the Free Democratic Party of District 10 (1994–1999), then (1999–2002) President of the Free Democratic Party of the City of Zurich.

In 2002 he was elected to the city council of Zurich; Until May 2018, he was head of the Department of Industrial Enterprises and the Zurich Transport Authority .
