Andrew Eppley Shue (born February 20, 1967 in Wilmington ) is an American actor .

Shue became famous for the role of Billy Campbell in the television series Melrose Place , which he impersonated from 1992 to 1998.

life and career

Andrew Shue's parents are the banker Anne Brewster, b. Wells, and the lawyer and politician James W. Shue. Shue is the younger brother of actress Elisabeth Shue . He attended Columbia High School in Maplewood , New Jersey, and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in history.

He made his acting debut in 1984 as an extra in Karate Kid . He played other extras and supporting roles in Cocktail (1988), American Shaolin (1991) and in an episode of the television series Wonderful Years (1992). Shue finally became famous in 1992 for his role as Billy Campbell in the television series Melrose Place , an offshoot of Beverly Hills 90210, produced by Aaron Spelling and Darren Star . In 1997 Shue played a supporting role in Francis Ford Coppola's film The Rainmaker . After leaving Melrose Place in 1998, he turned away from acting for several years. It wasn't until 2007 that he appeared again in front of the camera for the film Gracie and also acted as a producer.

He was married to Jennifer Hageney from 1994 to 2008. He has been married to presenter Amy Robach since 2010. He is the father of three sons.
