Andrius Navickas

Andrius Navickas (* 1972 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian journalist and politician.

Life

After graduating from Salomėja Nėris Middle School in Vilnius, Navickas completed a master’s degree in philosophy from 1990 and then a master’s degree in religious studies at the Vilniaus universitetas . In 2006 he received his PhD in philosophy (on the subject of human rights , "Žmogaus teisių pagrindimo problema šiuolaikinėje politinėje filosofijoje"). From 2004–2016 he was director and editor-in-chief of the Catholic Internet portal Bernardinai.lt. From 2015 to 2017 he taught at the Philosophy Faculty of the Vilniaus universitetas and Mykolo Romerio universitetas , 2017 at the Kazimiero Simonavičiaus universitetas , 2000–2004 at the Vilnius Seminary and Lietuvos edukologijos universitetas . 2001-2003 he was an official in the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania .

From 2016 to 2017 Navickas Seimas was a member-assistant to conservative politicians like Gabrielius Landsbergis , 2003 Irena Degutienė , 1998–2002 Jonas Šimėnas , Algirdas Saudargas , Vytautas Bogušis as an official in the Seimas office . He has been a Seimas member since June 2017 (replacing the late Rokas Žilinskas ).

Navickas is a member of Tėvynės sąjunga .
