The Kazimieras Simonavičius University ( Lithuanian Kazimiero Simonavičiaus universitetas ) is a state-recognized private university in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . It bears the name of Kazimierz Siemienowicz (1600–1651). The university is located in the Naujamiestis district .

history

In August 2003, the Vilnius Commercial Law Academy ( Vilniaus verslo teisės akademija ) was established. In the same year the associated library opened and in 2006 a student council was founded. Since 2012, the Kazimieras University has been called Simonavičiaus universitetas .

The Kazimieras Simonavičius University offers 13 bachelor's and 5 master's degrees in law, communication and economics and has the right to award doctorates. The information portal of the German Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs on foreign educational qualifications ( anabin ) classifies the Kazimieras Simonavičius University as an institution with the status H +. This status means that the institution in question is regarded as a university institution both in its home country and in Germany.
