The Andsvatnet ( North Sami : Áisajávri ) is a lake in the area of the municipalities of Målselv and Sørreisa in the province of Troms og Finnmark , Norway . It provides drinking water for large parts of Målselv municipality, including the army and air force garrisons in Bardufoss .
The lake is about 7 km long and an average of 1 km wide, has an area of 6.75 km² and a coastline of just over 21 km. It extends from northwest to southeast, and along its north side is Provincial Road 86 from Bardufoss to Sørreisa , which begins in Bardufoss on European route 6 .
The Andsvatnet is drained by the Andselva river, which after about 1.5 km passes under the E 6, then in a long left bend past the western end of the runway of Bardufoss airport and finally flows into the Målselva after another 3 km north of the airport .
