Andy Tschümperlin (born March 11, 1962 in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ) and a former member of the National Council .

Andy Tschümperlin, who grew up in Schwyz , is a trained primary and secondary school teacher and works as the headmaster of an integration school for young people who speak foreign languages ​​in Zug. He will give up his position at the end of the 2012 school year. From 1996 to 2007 he sat for the SP Schwyz in the Cantonal Council .

On June 4, 2007 Tschümperlin succeeded the late Schwyz National Councilor Josy Gyr . In the parliamentary election in 2007 he was confirmed in office. He was a member of the State Political Commission (SPK-N) and the Business Audit Commission (GPK-N). From September 30, 2008 he was Vice President of the SP parliamentary group . On February 17, 2012, Andy Tschümperlin was elected to succeed the resigning parliamentary group president of the SP Ursula Wyss at the beginning of the 2012 spring session.

In the 2015 parliamentary elections , he lost his seat in the National Council. As a previous professional politician, he had to reorient himself professionally.

Andy Tschümperlin is married and has four children. He lives in Rickenbach SZ .
