Angelika Pfeiffer

Angelika Sabine Pfeiffer b. Schnürer (born July 27, 1952 in Eisleben ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2009 she was a member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After secondary school, Pfeiffer completed an apprenticeship at Deutsche Post as a skilled worker in the field of telex technology. Between 1979 and 1982 she studied at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a social worker. Then she worked until 1990 as the manager of a senior citizens' home in Leipzig . Pfeiffer is married and has two daughters.

Pfeiffer joined the CDU in 1982 . From March to October 1990 she was a member of the GDR's first freely elected People's Chamber . Between 1990 and 1998 she sat in the German Bundestag . From 1999 to 2009 she was a member of the Saxon state parliament and since 2004 deputy chairwoman of the petitions committee. She was directly elected candidate for constituency 34 (Muldental 1) . In the run-up to the 2009 state elections , Pfeiffer announced that it would not run again for the state parliament. She left the state parliament in September 2009.

Pfeiffer is chairwoman of the district association Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge Muldental and since 2003 chairwoman of the CDU district association Muldentalkreis.
