Angelique Damschen , or Angie Damschen for short (born May 8, 1967 in Duisburg ) is a German singer and voice trainer .

Life

Angelique Eileen Roswitha Damschen was born on May 8, 1967 in Duisburg- Hamborn . Her musical career began in the Wesel band Alcatraz . After an appearance at an event organized by the Musik Initiative Moers (MIM) , the band was discovered by Jean Shy . This was followed by a record deal with the King Edward Records label and a tour of Germany under the new name Maybelline . In 1990 she released her first LP with her second band Pont Neuf on Musicolor. From 1996 to 1998 Angelique Damschen was a member of the Wind group for two years .

In the 1990s, her then producer Bernd Göke ( Fair Control ) published several titles under the stage name Angie Dee . Today she works as a freelance artist, as a vocal coach in the Niederrhein region and sings backing vocals for other performers, for example for PM Sampson , La Toya Jackson , Bata Illic , Andreas Elsholz , Christian Anders , Michael Wendler , Graziano and Martin Engelien , Yaelle Cinkey and Andrea Juergens .

Damschen has been writing for On Axis magazine since 2015 . In 2017, Angélique Damschen founded the singe lache lebe eV with some of her singing students so that people without a financial background can get free voice training, talent promotion and breathing courses across cities.
