Angelo Garland (born July 24, 1994 on Grand Turk Island ) is a sprinter from the Turks and Caicos Islands who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Angelo Garland gained his first experience in international championships at the CARIFTA Games 2013 in Nassau , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round over 400 meters. He then took part in the World Championships in Moscow , where he also failed in the first round with 48.84 s. 2014 qualified for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, and was eliminated there with 48.86 s in the preliminary round. He was also part of the 4 x 400 meter relay, which was eliminated in the preliminary round with 3: 19.11 min. At the IAAF World Relays 2017 he was eliminated with the 4 x 200 meter relay with 1: 26.22 minutes in advance. In April 2018 he again took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where he was eliminated in the individual 400 meter competition again with 48.38 s in the first and finished sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the final .

He is a student at Texas A&M University at College Station .
