Angelo Maffucci
Angelo Maffucci (born October 27, 1847 in Calitri near Avellino , Campania , † November 24, 1903 in Pisa ) was an Italian pathologist .
Life
Maffucci received his doctorate under Otto von Schrön in Naples in 1872 and was professor of pathological anatomy, first in Messina in 1882 , then in Catania in 1883 and finally in Pisa from 1884 .

- He succeeded in demonstrating the different etiologies of avian tuberculosis and tuberculosis , which subsequently led to a dispute with Robert Koch .
