Angelo Maria Durini
Angelo Maria Durini (born May 29, 1725 in Milan , † April 28, 1796 on Lake Como ) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Church . He was a nephew of Carlo Francesco Durini , who was promoted to cardinal in 1753.
Life
After studying in Rome and obtaining the doctoral degree iuris utriusque ("in both rights", i.e. in secular and ecclesiastical law) on June 9, 1757, he worked as a trainee lawyer at the Apostolic Signature , as internuncio in the papal nunciature in Paris and from 1760 as an inquisitor in Malta . On December 20, 1766 he was ordained a priest and a few days later, on December 28 of the same year, Pope Clement XIII donated him . the Bishop ordination ; Co-consecrators were the Curia Archbishops Scipione Borghese and Ignazio Reali . He got thatTitular Archdiocese of Ancyra .
He also remained in the Roman Curia as bishop and was nuncio in Poland. Durini lived in Avignon from 1774 to 1776 . On May 20, 1776 he was by Pope Pius VI. appointed cardinal in Como, but received no titular church . In 1787 he had the Villa del Balbianello built in Lenno on Lake Como .
