Angels and Enemies is a metalcore band from Cologne .
history
The five band members of Angels and Enemies come from the area around Cologne, Düsseldorf and Bonn and previously played in various other bands. In recent years they have played live with bands like Blessed by a Broken Heart , We Butter the Bread with Butter , Adept , Heart in Hand , Confide , Eyes Set to Kill , Jennifer Rostock , Alexisonfire , and His Statue Falls . A self-financed EP called And Scars Remain was released in 2007, followed by The Lyke Wake Dirge EP in 2009 , also self-distributed. The group then released the album Gttkmplx (2010) on Apollon Records. The band is currently working on their next album.
style
Angels and Enemies started out as an English-speaking metalcore band. After their EP and the title Schall , the band began to sing in German , similar to Callejon . The band mixes Melodic Death Metal and Thrash Metal with a Swedish flavor with typical staccato riffs like As I Lay Dying , Hatebreed and Caliban .
