Anheliwka ( Ukrainian Ангелівка ; Russian Ангеловка Angelowka , Polish Anielówka ) is a village in the western Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 600 inhabitants (2004).
geography
Anheliwka belongs administratively to the district council of the 3 km southwest, about the same size village Romaniwka . Anheliwka was originally on the banks of Dsjurawa -Baches (Дзюрава) at the confluence with the Bohdaniwka -Bach (Ukrainian Богданівка ), extends today but until the highway M 12 / E 50 in the east of Ternopil Raion 19 km east of Rajon- and Oblastzentrum Ternopil . To the west of the village runs the Ternopil – Khmelnyzkyj railway line, where the place has a stop under the name of Stryivka .
history
The present village was in the Austrian Galicia when it was founded in the 19th century and was founded as a Vorwerk by Romanowka. After the First World War , the village fell to the Polish Tarnopol Voivodeship in 1921 ( Powiat Tarnopol , Gmina Borki Wielki ). During the Second World War , the village was first occupied by the Soviet Union in 1939 and by Germany between 1941 and 1945 . After the village was liberated by the Red Army , it was transferred to the Soviet Union after the end of the war, and here to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic . Since 1991 it belongs to independent Ukraine. Between 1984 and 1991 the village was named Pidharjewe ( Ukrainian Підгарєве ).
