Ania Caill

Ania Monica Caill (born October 24, 1995 in Limoges , France ) is a Romanian ski racer .

Caill was born to a French father and a Romanian mother. She lives in France and has both of her parents' nationalities. She started skiing at the age of 7. In 2013 she started at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Brașov and finished 20th in the giant slalom.

In 2014, Caill took part in the Winter Olympics in Sochi , where she was the only Romanian starter in alpine skiing. She started in the downhill, in the Super G, in the giant slalom and in the combination. She achieved her best results in combination with 22nd place and 30th place in the Super G. At the 2015 World Championships in Beaver Creek , she was 54th in giant slalom.

At the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang , Caill wanted to start in the giant slalom. Because of the bad weather, the giant slalom race was postponed and collided with the training runs of the Super G, which she preferred. In the Jeongseon Alpine Center , she reached 36th place in the Super G and 28th place in the downhill.
