Anicetas Ignotas

Anicetas Ignotas (born March 21, 1952 in the district of Šilutė ) is a Lithuanian economist and former politician , Vice Minister , Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1971, he completed a degree in economics and engineering at the Kauno politechnikos institutas (KPI) from 1971 to 1976 in 1979 and became an industrial engineer . From 1975 to 1977 he was an engineer at KPI. From 1977 to 1980 he graduated from the postgraduate at the University of Moscow in Russia and worked as a research assistant . In 1981 he received his PhD and became a candidate in economics . From 1981 to 1989 he taught as a lecturer at the Vilnius Party School. From 1989 to 1990 he headed the department at the Lietuvos mokslų akademija (LMA) Economic Institute.

From 1990 to 1991 he was Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs, Vytas Navickas and Albertas Šimėnas . From 1991 to 1992 he was director of the LMA's Research Institute for Economics. From 1992 to 1993 he was deputy director of the state enterprise "Eiva" and from 1993 to 1994 deputy minister of industry and trade, from 1994 to 1997 secretary at the ministry. From 1997 to 2000 he was an advisor to the Minister of Economics, Vincas Kęstutis Babilius . From 2000 to 2001 he was director of the energy development department at the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy . From 2001 to 2002 he was Deputy Minister of Economy Petras Čėsna and from 2002 to 2009 Minister Secretary. From 2009 to 2011 he worked at VĮ “Energetikos agentūra” as a senior expert. Since 2010 he has been teaching public service management, service theory and business administration as a lecturer and has been vice dean at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lietuvos edukologijos universitetas .
