Anja Golob (* 1976 ) is a Slovenian author, journalist and (dance) dramaturge.

Live and act

Golob studied philosophy and comparative literature in Ljubljana .

She initially wrote theater reviews for the Slovenian daily newspaper "Večer" and also columns. In 2010 her first volume of poetry “V roki” (Eng: “In the hand”) was published; In 2013 the second volume of poetry “Vesa v zgibi” (“Bent Hang”) was published.

The pieces “Only a Free Individual Can Create a Free Society” and “Clean Air” (premiered on November 9, 2013 at the Playground Festival in Leuven , Belgium ) by Grace Schwindt were created under Golob's dramaturgical direction.

In June 2013, texts by the author were set to music by the Slovenian duo "Rdeča Raketa" as part of the Summer Hole Festival on the Vienna Danube Canal. Golob's poems have been published in German translation in the literary magazine Edit (No. 60), in the “ Jahrbuch der Lyrik 2013” ​​and in the November issue of the Austrian literary magazine “ Wespennest ”. In 2015, a volume of poetry with the title from and to inclinations in German was published by Hochroth Verlag , the translations are by Uljana Wolf and Urška P. Černe .

In 2014 Anja Golob was a guest at the Schamrock Festival of Women Poets in Vienna, in 2015 she was a scholarship holder at the Künstlerhaus Villa Waldberta .
