Anja Klafki (* 1967 in Eckernförde ) is a German graphic artist . She is an initiator of Das Atelier in Kiel .

Live and act

Anja Klafki studied a. a. with Professors Bauer and Thieme Free Graphics. In 1999 she was the first prize winner of the exhibition "Expressions of Youth", Dedalo Arte, Urbino / Italy and from 1999 to 2000 she held a teaching position at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel .

Klafki works on zinc plates with - for printmaking - unusual tools: hammer and chisel, with which she tears open and structures the surface. As a result, the panels look like sculptures, their prints shimmer in the shades of zinc . Klafki lives and works in Stuttgart.
