Anja Mikus

Anja Mikus (* 1956 in Kassel ) is a German bank manager, member of the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank and, since June 2017, chairwoman of the fund for the financing of nuclear waste disposal .

Life

Anja Mikus studied from 1981 to 1986 at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and graduated with a degree in business administration . She then worked for Wandel & Goltermann for two years in the area of ​​financial planning and accounting before moving to Stuttgart and starting as a securities analyst at Allianz . She worked there until 2000, from 1995 as Head of Portfolio Management and from 1998 as Managing Director in Munich .

In 2000 she moved to Allianz Pimco Asset Management as a member of the management and managing director and one year later to Union Investment in the private funds division as managing director and segment manager for portfolio management , where she managed a sum of around 250 billion euros. In 2013, Mikus ended her job there and took a break .

In 2014, Mikus became managing director at Arabesque , and in 2015 she also became a member of the Commerzbank audit and social committee. Her activity at Arabesque ended in May 2017, in June 2017 she took over the management of the Fund for the Financing of Nuclear Disposal , a foundation under public law in the division of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy , which funds the monies paid in by the electricity producers in the amount of approx. 24 billion euros for the disposal of radioactive materials from the operation of the German nuclear power plants should manage and invest on the capital market .
