Anja Reumschüssel

Anja Reumschüssel (born December 22, 1983 in Dresden ) is a German journalist and author .

Career

Anja Reumschüssel was born in Dresden in 1983, then grew up in East Berlin and Munich. She has been working as a freelance reporter for newspapers and magazines since 2001, while also working for years in the ambulance service and as a nursing assistant in an intensive care unit and in psychiatry. From 2005 she studied journalism , sociology and Protestant theology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and graduated in 2010 with a master's degree . From 2011 to 2012 she lived in Israel and the West Bank. From 2013 to 2014 she attended the Henri Nannen School of Journalism in Hamburg. She writes science and society reports etc. a. for GEO, GEO Knowledge, National Geographic , Stern and produces web videos.

Awards

Anja Reumschüssel was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 2019 . She received the honor for the non-fiction book Extremism.
