Anja Siegers (born October 13, 1966 ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .

Career

Player

The striker began her career at VfB Alstätte in Ahaus and moved to VfB Rheine in 1990 . Two years later she moved up to the Bundesliga team at VfB. The association merged with SG Eintracht Rheine in 1994 . Three years later Siegers and their team reached the final of the DFB Cup , which was lost 3-1 to Grün-Weiß Brauweiler . A year later, the women's football department of FC Eintracht split off as FFC Heike Rheine . Under this name, the team was relegated from the Bundesliga in 1999 and was immediately promoted again. In 2007 Siegers ended her career as a player.

trainer

In September 2008 Siegers took over the coaching position at the Südlohn Westphalia league club FC Oeding . After four years in Oeding, she moved to Germania Hauenhorst from Rheine in summer 2012 , who had just been promoted to the Regionalliga West . Only because of the worse goal difference , the team was relegated after only one season. A year later, Siegers led Germania to win the Westphalia Cup and qualify for the DFB Cup .

Private

Anja Siegers lives in Gronau . Her main job is a freelance roller shutter and blind builder .
