Anke Bosse

Anke Bosse (* 1961 in Hanover ) is a German literary scholar .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, she studied German , comparative literature and Romance languages at the universities of Göttingen , Avignon and Munich . In 1987 she became a research assistant in the field of edition philology at the Institute for Comparative Studies at the University of Munich. In 1992 she moved to the University of Geneva in Switzerland as a research assistant . In 1996 she submitted a thèse d'état summa cum laude on the estate of Goethe's West-Eastern Divan and received the Venia legendi for modern German-language literature.

In 1997 she accepted a professorship for German and comparative literature at the University of Namur in Belgium . From 1998 to 2010 she was director of the Institute for German Language and German Literature at the University of Namur, from 2010 to 2015 President of the Curia of Professors, and from 2012 to 2105 she was a member of the General Assembly of the University of Namur. As a member of the board of the Belgian Association of Germanists and German Teachers (BGDV), she was editor-in-chief of the magazine for German language, literature and culture, Germanistische Mitteilungen, at the Winter University Press, from 2000 to 2015 . In 2015 she accepted the professorship for modern German-language literature at the University of Klagenfurt , which is linked to the management of the Robert Musil Institute for Literary Research and the Carinthian Literature Archive in the Musil House. In November 2015 and March 2016, she presented her plans to the public.

In 2012 she opted the Swiss National Science Foundation in the AcademiaNet . She is a reviewer for the Belgian National Fund FRS-FNRS, the Flemish National Fund FWO, the Swiss National Fund SNSF, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), the Canadian National Fund for the Humanities CRSH and for the Germanistic journals Duitse Kroniek and Etudes germaniques .

Her main research interests are German-language literature from the 18th to the 21st century (especially the Goethe era), archives and editions, Critique génétique and writing research, intertextuality and interculturality, orientalism, (inter) media issues, digital humanities . In 1998 she organized the first international colloquium on the Austrian writer Marlen Haushofer in Namur . She also curated exhibitions in Namur about Thomas Bernhard , Peter Handke , Marlen Haushofer and Friederike Mayröcker . In 1999, together with the Goethe-Institut Brussels, she organized the large international colloquium on Goethe's reception in Europe .
