Career
societies
Anke Preuss started playing soccer at Rot-Weiß Lintorf and joined the youth department of FCR 2001 Duisburg via Lohausener SV in 2006 . In 2007 she won the German championship with the B-Juniors after a 1-0 final victory against Bayern Munich . From the 2008/09 season Preuss was part of Duisburg's Bundesliga squad, but did not make her Bundesliga debut against VfL Wolfsburg until March 25, 2012 . In addition, she played regularly from 2008 to 2012 for Duisburg's second team in the 2nd Bundesliga. After six years in Duisburg, she signed a contract with second division TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the 2012/13 season , with which she was promoted to the first Bundesliga this season. In the summer of 2013 Preuss signed a two-year contract with 1. FFC Frankfurt. After her contract expired in the summer of 2016, Preuss signed with the ASD AGSM Verona Calcio Femminile in Italy . After Preuss only made one appearance in six months in Italy, she moved to AFC Sunderland in February 2017 , where she made her debut in a 3-2 win in the FA Women's Super League game against Aston Villa Ladies FC . On July 10, 2018, Preuss signed a two-year contract for Liverpool FC and received jersey number 1.
National team
In 2008 Preuss won the Nordic Cup in Iceland with the U-16 national team and was used in the game against the hosts. On February 13, 2012, she played her only game for the U-20 national team in a 5-0 win against the Swiss team, and in the same year she was part of the German squad for the U-20 World Cup in Japan , where she played - without her own Tournament use - second place with the team.
