Anna Asp

Anna Margareta Birgitta Asp (born May 16, 1946 in Söderhamn , Gävleborgs län , Sweden ) is a Swedish art director and production designer who has not only won an Oscar for best production design but also several other film awards.

Life

Anna Asp began her career as art director and production designer in 1971 for the film Apfelkrieg (Äppelkriget) and has been involved in the staging of almost forty films to this day.

At the Academy Awards in 1984 she and Susanne Lingheim received an Oscar for the best production design in the film Fanny and Alexander (1982) by Ingmar Bergman with Bertil Guve , Pernilla Allwin and Allan Edwall in the leading roles .

In 1988 she won the Robert for the best production design in Pelle, der Eroberer (1987) by Bille August with Pelle Hvenegaard , Max von Sydow and Erik Paaske, one of Denmark's most important film awards .

After receiving the Guldbagge Creative Prize in 1993 , she was awarded the 2004 Guldbagge Prize for best production design in Evil (2003) by Mikael Håfström with Andreas Wilson , Henrik Lundström and Gustaf Skarsgård .
