Anna Damrat
Anna Damrat (born July 18, 1945 in Staats , Gardelegen district ) is a former German politician ( SPD ).
Damrat grew up in Berlin from 1946 . She studied economics and then business education at the Free University of Berlin . In 1973 she was a research assistant at the Berlin Senate . She then did teaching and research at the Pedagogical University Berlin and the Technical University Berlin . In 1983 and 1984 she was a trainee teacher and then taught at the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Berlin and the vocational school.
In 1968 Damrat joined the SPD Berlin . There she was initially state chairman of the Berlin Jusos . Damrat has been active in the working group of social democratic women since 1979 , where she was first district chairman in the Wilmersdorf district , then deputy chairwoman of the Berlin ARSP, state chairwoman, member of the federal executive board and, from 1996, deputy ARSP federal chairwoman.
From 1989 to 1999 Damrat sat in the Berlin House of Representatives , where she was spokesperson for science policy during this time . From 1995 to 1999 she was also a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee, until 1997 she was deputy parliamentary group leader.
In 2005, Senator Ingeborg Junge-Reyer presented Damrat with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
