Anna Katarina Elisabet Frithioff (born December 4, 1962 in Gränna ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Frithioff, who started for the Kvarnsevedens SK , made her debut in Funäsdalen in March 1992 in the cross-country skiing world cup . There she took seventh place over 5 km classic and thus achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup. In 1991 and 1992 she won the Tjejvasan . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 1993 , she achieved 24th place over 5 km classic and sixth place with the relay. Her best placings at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer were 13th place over 30 km classic and sixth place with the relay. In March 1994 she was third in the relay at the World Cup in Falun and at the end of the season she finished 30th in the overall World Cup. The following year she won the bronze medal with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay . At the following World Cup in Sapporo , she came in third place with the relay. In addition, she finished 29th in the pursuit race, 22nd place over 15 km classic and ninth place over 5 km classic. From 1996 to 1998 she was three times Swedish champion with the relay of Kvarnsevedens SK. She also won the 30 km in 1997. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim were 13th place over 5 km classic and ninth place with the relay. Two years later she took 54th place in the pursuit and 24th place over 5 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein . She ran her last World Cup race in March 1999 in Lahti , which she finished classically in 16th place over 10 km.
