Anna Geislerová
Anna Geislerová (born April 17, 1976 in Prague ), also: Aňa Geislerová , is a Czech actress .
Life
Geislerová was discovered by director Ondřej Trojan at the age of 13 . He cast her in 1990 in his film Pějme píseň dohola . Her first starring role was a year later in Requiem per panenku of Filip Renč . In the 1990s she became one of the most popular Czech actresses who is present in the cinema as well as on television. She has been nominated six times for the Czech Lion Film Award and won it four times for her roles in The Return of the Idiot by Saša Gedeon (2000), Zelary by Ondřej Trojan (2004), The Season of Happiness byBohdan Sláma (2006) and Beauty in Trouble by Jan Hřebejk . She also received the Actor Award of the San Sebastián Film Festival for The Season of Happiness .
She was also seen in Jízda in 1994 under the direction of Oscar winner Jan Svěrák . The film won the main prize of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 1995 . In 2001 she got a role in the German production Swimming Pool - The death with celebrates . In 2003, she played in the German production SuperTex by Jan Schütte . In 1993 she was part of the acting ensemble of the Italian television production Princess Fantaghirò III .
At the Berlinale 2004 she was awarded the European Shooting Star . In 2010 she was a member of the jury for the 2010 Shooting Star Awards and presented the winners together with Stellan Skarsgård during the 2010 Berlinale .
Anna Geislerová is married to the director Zdeněk Janáček. The relationship resulted in a daughter and a son. Her sister Ester is also an actress, her other sister Lenka is a singer.
