Anna Jacobapolder is a small village in the municipality of Tholen in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The place is located on the Sint Philipsland peninsula and has 230 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

history

In 1847 at the initiative of Willem Frederik del Campo, a 869 was hectares large polder the island of Sint Philipsland been gained. Del Campo named the new polder after his wife Anna Jacoba van Sonsbeek, Anna Jacobapolder. Initially, the village that emerged on one of the new roads was simply called Aan de Noordweg and belonged to the municipality of Bruinisse until it was renamed to the municipality of Sint Philipsland in 1858.
