Anna Maier

Anna Rita Rajathi Maier (born September 20, 1977 in Zurich ) is a Swiss radio and television presenter .

Life

Anna Maier grew up as the daughter of an Indian woman and a Swiss man in the canton of Zurich and did a commercial apprenticeship at the Children's Hospital in Zurich. At the same time, she presented the first radio broadcasts on Radio Unispital , the in-house broadcaster of the University Hospital Zurich . After her apprenticeship and BMS, she worked as a presenter and editor at the Zurich local station Radio 24 . This was followed by six years of news and talk moderation on Tele24 and TeleZüri .

In 2004 she switched to entertainment, first moderating the people magazine on Sat.1 Switzerland, then the travel show “simple / luxurious” on Swiss television and her own quiz show Eiger, Mönch and Maier . Sat.1 brought her to Germany to host the dance casting show “You can dance”. In 2007 and 2008 she hosted various programs for Swiss television and for Sat.1 Switzerland.

From November 2011 to March 2012, together with Sven Epiney , she hosted the second season of the casting show The greatest Swiss talents in the main evening program of Swiss television .

From March 2008 to September 2014 Maier was the presenter in the daily program of Radio SRF 3 , from 2011 to 2014 she was also the moderator for the discussion program “Focus”. Since October 2014 she has worked as an editor for the news program Schweiz aktuell on SRF 1 , and since March 2015 as a presenter. At the end of 2016, Anna Maier resigned from SRF and switched to the private sector.

Anna Maier is the mother of two daughters and a son.
