The biggest Swiss talents ( Acronym : DGST ) is the Swiss version of the talent show - format Got Talent . Special talent is being sought in the show, which is broadcast on SRF 1 . The candidates present their respective talents in a stage appearance before a jury decides which applicants will make it to the semi-finals. In the semi-final and final shows, the television viewers determine the positions of the candidates by televoting .
Maya Wirz ( vocals ) was voted the first greatest Swiss talent on March 20, 2011. The second season was won on March 17, 2012 by Eliane Müller (vocals). At the end of the third season on April 11, 2015, Flavio Rizzello achieved victory. The fourth season ended on April 9, 2016 with Jason Brügger ( aerial acrobatics on the straps ) as the greatest Swiss talent.
At the beginning of May 2016, SRF announced that the format would no longer be shown on television until 2018 at the earliest, despite the high ratings. One of the reasons for the decision was that 'manageable' Switzerland does not have enough varied talents.

First season
The first episode of the first season aired on January 29, 2011 on SF 1. The jury consisted of singer DJ BoBo , ex- Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi and TV presenter Roman Kilchsperger . The casting shows were already produced in December 2010 at Theater 11 in Zurich after the candidates had to prove themselves in so-called pre-castings. The four casting shows were broadcast on Saturdays at 8:10 p.m. on January 29, 2011. The judges could operate the red buzzer on their desk during a performance to indicate that they did not like it. Then they said yes or no for or against advancing.
From February 27, 2011, three semi-final shows from the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen were broadcast on Sundays with the selected candidates . The two candidates with the most telephone calls from the television audience each made it straight to the final. The jury then selected the third participant in the final by choosing one of the candidates in third and fourth place in the voting. The final show took place on March 20, 2011. The winner of the first season was the singer Maya Wirz, who sang the title Time To Say Goodbye . Wirz signed a record deal with Sony Music a week after the finale . Her first album "Mein Traum" was released in June 2011. DRS 3 was a partner broadcaster of DGST .

Of the four people on the jury who evaluated the candidates in the casting shows, only Gilbert Gress remained . The musician DJ BoBo was replaced by rapper Bligg , Christa Rigozzi by Susanne Kunz and Sven Epiney by Jonny Fischer from the cabaret duo Divertimento .
The nine casting programs of the fourth season, for which over 1,500 talented people applied, were produced in November 2015 at Theater 11 in Zurich and broadcast in February and March 2016. The two semi-finals and the final show were broadcast live from the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen .
The online voting by viewers at the casting shows, which was introduced in season 3, was no longer carried out. At the end of each program, the four jury members decided in a different room which of the candidates who received four yes votes in the program was allowed to enter one of the two semi-finals. The “golden buzzer” introduced in the third season, with which the jury was able to send convincing talents straight to the semi-finals, was retained. Each juror, including the presenter, was only allowed to operate the golden buzzer once. A total of 20 semi-finalists were determined. Ten candidates each appeared in the two semifinals and were rated by the television audience via SMS and telephone calls. Five candidates from each semi-final made it to the final, in which the TV viewers decide on the victory.

particularities
- The 14-year-old Julia Maria Sakar, finalist of the first season, already took part in the German format Das Supertalent in 2009 . There she was excluded from the competition for unknown reasons. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia , she was not allowed to take part in the finals because the main prize was unsuitable for children. Sakar had already appeared in the entertainment show Benissimo on SF 1. In addition, in February 2010 Swiss television broadcast a half-hour report on Julia Maria Sakar's career as part of the Reporter program .
- DGST was accompanied by the children's program window Zambo during the first season . There was extensive coverage of the casting show. The participating children were repeatedly guests on the myZambo program .
- The musician duo "MAREY" was nominated for the semi-finals in the fourth casting broadcast of the fourth season, but later decided not to continue performing on the DGST stage. In their place Klaudia Dittertová (vocals) moved up.
criticism
- During the recording of the casting shows, it was criticized that the audience had to give their consent to their personal data being passed on to third parties for advertising purposes before entering Theater 11. In addition, the seat was not allowed to be left during the four-hour recording.
- It was criticized that before the casting appearance of the singer and later winner Maya Wirz, it was deliberately concealed that the candidate had completed a vocal training and had already worked on larger productions. Swiss television justified itself on the grounds that no super talent had yet fallen from the sky and that everyone was admitted as a candidate.
