Anne Jentsch

Anne Jentsch ( Hanka Jenčec in Upper Sorbian ; * 1983 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German - Sorbian freelance writer.

Life

Anne Jentsch moved to Bautzen with her parents at the age of two and was raised bilingually. She attended the Sorbian grammar school in Bautzen, where she passed her Abitur in 2001 . This was followed by an internship in Prague and a year as an apprentice at the German-Sorbian People's Theater .

She then studied Sorabic Studies , Philosophy and General and Comparative Literature at the University of Leipzig . From 2004 to 2008 she studied drama writing at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Anne Jentsch has been working as a freelance writer since 2008. She lives in Berlin-Kreuzberg .

At the beginning of 2010 she won the writing competition “ Pieces for the Gap ”, as a result of which her piece “Crux or The Savior under the Bed” is premiered in Hanover .
