Anne Nissen

Anne Nissen (* 1966 in Flensburg ) is a German visual artist. She lives and works in Hanover .

Life

After a short study visit at the Free Art School in Stuttgart from 1989 to 1990, she studied Fine Art at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover from 1990 to 1996 . Her studies were supported by two scholarships , which took her to the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg in 1993 , class Lauren Ewing , and in 1995 to the Art Academy in Bergen (Norway) . She completed her studies with a diploma and was then a master class student with Verena Vernunft .

Anne Nissen is married and has one daughter.

Works

In her first creative years, Anne Nissen initially designed plastic and graphic works. She became known for her surreal pencil drawings and grotesque sculptures and installations. At around the turn of the millennium, she turned to video technology. Large video installations and monochrome and polychrome video prints were created that focus on people's life phases: the experiences and memories between birth and death.
