Verena reason
Verena Vernunft (born March 13, 1945 in Rehhorst ) is a German artist .
Life
From 1964 on, reason studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts , where she graduated with the state examination in 1969. In 1978 she became a member of the German Association of Artists , on whose board she was only 2nd chairwoman from 1989, and then 1st chairwoman from 1990 to 1992. Since 1987, Vernunft has been a professor of fine arts at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences . Her master students include Ulrich Baehr , Gisela Burkamp , Andreas Ludwig , Anne Nissen and Edin Bajrić . She lives and works with Bert Düerkop in Hamburg and Conio (Italy).

Her exhibition activities began in 1974 at the Altschwager Gallery in Hamburg. More than 60 solo exhibitions and numerous exhibition participations followed by 2008, including in the Villa Massimo . Between 1974 and 1996 Verena Vernunft took part in a total of eighteen DKB annual exhibitions. Her works are in the possession of many different museums, for example the Hamburger Kunsthalle or the Kunsthalle Emden .
Her graphic oeuvre mainly includes color etchings and oil pastel drawings .
